The Viewing Book

Answering 70 separate questions, 'The Viewing' explains the essence of what Christians believe, and why.

"So many warped ideas out there about Christianity, whether from bad experiences, misunderstanding or relying on the media! This is a great book that focuses on what Christianity really is, and what it should look like. Thoroughly thought through. Very clearly and simply written. Would recommend it to anyone with questions, or anyone wanting help to answer questions from others."C King (Review of "The Viewing")

Essential Christianity

We might ask what is essential about Christian faith.  Many people would answer this in terms of our eternal destiny.  If we accept that there is life after death, and that there is a heaven and a hell, then Christian faith is clearly important.  This is logical, and true.  But it is wrong to think that faith is all about securing a ‘ticket to heaven’ - that is more of a consequence than a purpose for believing.

Most importantly, Christian faith means having an active, real, relationship with God.  This isn’t to do with religion, or religious observance, but a conscious living connection with the Almighty; it is about walking through life hand-in-hand with God.

Lastly, Christian faith gives us principles by which to live.  This is not to do with rules or even just wise advice. Christian faith entails learning how God intends us to live; it is about how he has made us and designed us to function.  This means that we have the opportunity to live optimally - to be the most that we can be in terms of real achievement, fulfilling relationships and joyful living.

Is Christian faith essential?  We each decide this for ourselves, but before doing so it is important to be informed.  This is what Asked Questions is all about - you have questions; here the intention is to provide authentic, meaningful and satisfying answers.
